Bio

My research examines how human knowledge is represented and transmitted, and how it evolves across generations. This work focuses on how compositional compression supports the learning and representation of causal knowledge, and how these cognitive processes scale across individuals and generations through the reuse and recombination of existing knowledge, giving rise to cumulative cultural innovation and population-level cultural dynamics. Prior to joining the lab, I completed my master’s degree in Human Sciences at Hokkaido University, where my research was primarily grounded in social psychology.
