Bio

My research focuses on the development of cultural evolutionary models that integrate cognitive mechanisms. I am particularly interested in how individual-level cognitive and developmental processes scale up to produce population-level cultural patterns. Before joining the HMC-lab, I completed my PhD in the Theory in Cultural Evolution Lab at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, where I studied the interplay between memory and social learning using computational approaches.
