I’m fascinated by how understanding human learning and motivation can help us develop AI systems that better assist and empower humans. My research explores this through the lens of autonomous learning, investigating how intrinsic objectives like empowerment and information gain drive exploration in both human and artificial agents. I’m currently completing my M.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Tübingen, where my thesis work examines how these computational principles shape learning strategies in open-ended environments.
Previously, I worked on a research project in the Human and Machine Cognition lab where I used large language models to infer mental programs in human compositional reasoning, exploring how people efficiently encode and reuse information. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the Cooperative State University Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Stuttgart, in collaboration with Bosch.
